“Liver Transplant: Everything you want to know, both pre- and post-transplant” was presented at the 18th annual PSC Partners Seeking a Cure conference in 2022. The annual conferences focus on providing primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) patients and their caregivers with information to help them through their PSC journey.

This 1½ hour webinar gives a helpful overview of what to expect before and after a liver transplant. It covers patient stories, medical information, and care tips. Please note that if you are in Canada, some parts of the transplant process, like how organs are allocated and how the transplant system works, might be different from what’s described in the webinar. The webinar provides a helpful overview of the liver transplant process, but you should talk to your healthcare team about your specific situation.

The “Liver Transplant: Everything you want to know, both pre- and post-transplant” webinar discusses when to evaluate a patient for liver transplantation (MELD system) and changes to liver allocation as it applies to PSC. The second part focuses on PSC, fertility, and pregnancy as well as contraception and pregnancy post liver transplantation. The third part covers the transition after liver transplant for pediatric patients to adult care and self-care.

Below is the expert panel of webinar speakers and the topics each person will be discussing:
